Unless you have entirely bought into the world of Apple, you actually have to put a bit of thought into your setup. Fortunately, there are great solutions to sync bookmarks across browsers. A solution that also incl. passwords, tabs, browser history, and other information. I have been using LastPass password manager for quit a long time and took the chance to start using Xmark when I saw the add about LastPass and Xmark premium bundle.
Synchronization means if you made a change in bookmarks or password on any one of browsers/devices then it appears on another browser/device too when you use the tool to sync it or even automatic depending on your settings.

Why use different Browser?
Gone are the days when we used a single browser on our only computer. Today, many of us constantly switch between laptops, netbooks, smartphones and tablets. Which are outfitted with various browsers and obviously a connection to the Internet. Keeping all of your bookmarks with you and automatically synced on that many devices can be a challenge.
If you’re wanting to switch from one browser to another, or you don’t want to tie yourself to a single browser, you’ll need a third-party solution in order to keep your bookmarks in sync across all machines and browsers. Google Chrome is the browser I use most, Safari very useful for Mac and iDevices, and Firefox has many great Add-ons like Firebug.
Organize and Sync bookmarks across browsers, devices and OS using Xmark
The solution to this problem is Xmarks. This tool sync bookmarks across browsers. You can easily sync all your bookmarks across Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Safari. Xmarks stores all the bookmarks in the user account and those stored bookmarks are synchronized across browsers. Xmarks also allows you to access your bookmarks via the browser itself — just log in to do so. This allows you to get your bookmarks without syncing them to a computer you don’t own.
How to instal Xmark
The installation wizard is pretty self-explanatory and easy to understand. Fire up your browser and install the appropriate version of Xmarks for that browser. Sign up for a free account and it’ll immediately sync your current set of bookmarks to your online Xmarks account. Repeat these steps on all of your devices/browsers. All of your bookmarks will be in all of your browsers, on all of your devices incl. iOS, Android, Windows and BlackBerry (mobile integration requires an upgrade to the premium account).
Premium feature also include Open Tab Sync on all of your mobile devices. Open browser tab synchronization makes life easier by letting you pick up where you left off while at home, at the office, or anywhere!. Premium user’s backup history will be stored for a longer period of time allowing you to view, restore, or export past bookmark collections.
